Dr.-Ing. Alena Janatková, born in Prague, art historian in the fields of metropolitan research, architectural history of modernism and the 19th century, art history under National Socialism, etc. She has written and published numerous books and scientific articles in the university context. She is the founder of the association.

dr Uwe Schneider

dr Uwe Schneider, MA, has been scientifically active in the university sector for around 20 years, which has resulted in numerous books, editorships and scientific articles. Familiar with water sports for around 35 years. Voyages at sea in the eastern and western Mediterranean (Turkey, Spain, Italy) and the Baltic Sea. He is the founder of the association and received the Federal Cross of Merit in 2019 for his services to the youth research ship. We congratulate him warmly and thank him once again for his many years of commitment to children and youth work with us.

Helen Baberschke, former teacher

Founder

Helen Baberschke, former teacher for chemistry and French, was responsible for secondary school for a long time and joined us some time ago, where she covers the chemistry of water bodies. As a former research associate at the TU Berlin, she is still active at Ipat (Interdisciplinary Project Group for Appropriate Technology). Having traveled on inland waterways for a long time, she is able to convincingly convey to our young visitors the great importance of clean lakes and rivers.

Christine Paarmann, former teacher

Founder

Christine Paarmann, former teacher for the subjects natural sciences, chemistry and biology. As a passionate educator, she has long shared her passion with children in sailing and initiated a children's sailing group, which she continues to look after alongside her work for the youth research ship.
