The ship is an extracurricular place of learning and is located in Lake Tegel not far from the Greenwich Promenade. School classes come on board, from third to advanced biology courses, to deal with the topics of water ecology, renewable energies and environmental protection.
On site, we take the students out on the lake in a dinghy to carry out physical measurements, microscopy plankton and examine the chemical parameters of the lake.
School classes usually arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The tasks of the team include not only supervising subgroups but also carrying out learning modules (e.g. biology, physics).
Pedagogical training would be useful, as well as experience in dealing with children and young people.

Praktika für Schüler und Studierende - Ihr könnt schnuppern auf unserem schwimmenden Klassenzimmer - Ihr könnte mithelfen bei der Betreuung unserer Teilnehmer und ganzer Schulklassen - Ihr könnt Erfahrung in den Bereichen Umweltpädagogik, Gewässerökologie und Erneuerbare Energien sammeln und dabei auch allerhand interessante Menschen kennen lernen.
Studierende sollten aus einem unserer Fachgebiete kommen oder dort bevorzugte Interessen haben. Gestaltet mit bei einem der spannendsten und ambitioniertesten Umweltbildungsprojekte im Lande: Draußen und in natürlicher Umgebung für unsere Umwelt arbeiten und wirken: Wir nehmen jederzeit Bewerbungen und Anfragen über das Kontaktformular entgegen! Neben den zweiwöchigen Schülerpraktika sind auch längere Praktika etwa für Schüler von Oberstufenzentren und anderer Schulen aus dem Bereich der Naturwissenschaften oder der Sozialarbeit etc. möglich - Wir bieten eine 1A-Betreuung, eigenverantwortliches Handeln, 1:1 Praxis-Erfahrung im Umgang mit Schülern, ein sympathisches Betriebsklima und schließlich eine Tätigkeit an einem der schönsten Orte Berlins auf dem Wasser !

FÖJ Voluntary Ecological Year Environmental Education Youth Research Ship

Das Jugendforschungsschiff Cormoran liegt an der Greenwichpromenade in Berlin-Tegel und dient als schwimmender außerschulischer Lernort um Kinder und Jugendliche mit den Themen Gewässerökologie, Ökologie und Erneuerbare Energien vertraut zu machen.

Wir führen unsere Untersuchungen in enger Kooperation mit Schulen und anderen Trägern sowie wissenschaftsnahen Einrichtungen durch. Das Jugendforschungsschiff Cormoran hat an der Greenwichpromenade in Berlin-Tegel einen Liegeplatz an einem der schönsten Orte Berlins am Tegeler See.

Aufgaben für das FÖJ
Umweltbildung:
– Vorbereitung und Begleitung von Unterrichtseinheiten auf dem Tegeler See zu den Themen Gewässerökologie und Erneuerbare Energien
– Begleitung von Gruppen aus Schulklassen von Grundschulen, der Mittelstufe und von Oberstufenkursen
– Mithilfe bei der Erstellung und weiteren Profilierung von Lehrmaterialien, teils in Zusammenarbeit mit den betreffenden Schulen, teils in Zusammenarbeit mit einer Bildungsagentur
– Organisation von Unterrichtsmaterialien und Laborausstattung
– Mithilfe bei der Evaluierung der Unterrichtseinheiten

Allgemeine Organisation:
– Vor- und Nachbereitung der Fahrten in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Mitarbeitern
